Alder lace bug - Corythucha pergandei

Alder lace bug - Corythucha pergandei
Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
May 29, 2009
Size: 2mm
"There's something called the alder lace bug, Corythucha pergandei. That would be a new species for the guide, so better images would be great."

Thanks from Charley Eiseman who thought that my earlier poor image might be this species. At noon today I found one lace bug on the under surface of an alder bush. I found an image here that to me at least looks very close to that species.

Corythucha pergandei
Though the image is a bit obscure due to the inclined position of the insect, this is indeed Corythucha pergandei . The host plant sure confirms its identity.
