Male Banded Pennant? - Celithemis fasciata - male

Male Banded Pennant? - Celithemis fasciata - Male
Lake Placid - Archbold, Highlands County, Florida, USA
May 26, 2009
Looking through Discover Life and the guide, it seems a male Banded Pennant is the most likely candidate, but I know I don't know enough to be certain.

Your ID is correct - Banded Pennant
Halloween Pennant would have orange coloring between the dark wing markings and
not just the amber wash at base of the hindwing as in your specimen.
Calico Pennant male would have red dorsal spots on the abdomen.
Also in Calico the hindwing basal marking is restricted to the basal quarter of the wing.
In the Banded - the hindwing basal marking extends out to the nodus of the wing.

Thank you
very much for the confirmation and explanation!
