Larvae into dragonfly?

Larvae into dragonfly?
Near Carnation, King County, Washington, USA
May 31, 2009
Size: About 2 and 1/2 inches
Saw these bugs hanging from rocks around our goldfish pond. As we watched the heads of the emerging "flys" turned up and the wings which began as 1/2 inch or less stubs became two inch long wings. We saw one of the larva come out of the water and begin looking for a place to hang to shed its old shell. Most were hanging from the rocks, but the two I took pictures of were hanging from a leaf. Can you tell me what they are?

Dragonflies
You're right, that is a new dragonfly. Probably a "skimmer" (the most common family of dragonflies). Hopefully somebody else here will be able to ID further. Newly emerged dragonflies are are more difficult because adult colors take a while to show up.
