Emerald moth - Nemoria mimosaria

Emerald moth - Nemoria mimosaria
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
May 31, 2009
Found this when turning a porch light on. Also found Celery loopers, Pink-barred Lithacodias and several midges, mosquitos and caddisflies. Intrestingly this one had a reddish colour on most of its head.

I did think it was Nemoria unitaria but the hindwing line position is a bit different.

Identified to
N. mimosaria.

I was going to guess
N. mimosaria, but I thought perhaps you were too far West based on the data map for that species, so I just subscribed to your images to see if anyone who knew for certain would chime in. Good for you on the ID!
