Can we move to C. tricolor
or is there significant disagreement here?

sorry guys, Peter's right, my bad.
i wasn't subscribed to this item and spent the summer blissfully unaware of Peter's attempts to set me straight

Chlaenius tricolor
in my opinion is a better fit based (in part) on roughly equal antennomeres 3+4 and relatively smooth vertex vs coarse setigerous punctures in C. aestivus.

Thanks, V
