Egg Update

Egg Update
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
June 1, 2009
Size: ~3mm
After nearly a week, starting to see something forming inside the egg. Seems to be a seam forming. Also, I found what apparently looks like a leaf-footed bug nymph under the leaf. Perhaps it came from another egg on the bush?

Moved
Moved from Acanthocephala. based on the comment below

Coreid egg
I don't think Acanthocephala is the only genus with eggs like this. Glad you rescued these from the assassin bug section though--I don't know how I missed their being moved there.

Yeah, that was my fault...
I know what the mistake was based on so I won't be making it again. Ditto on rescuing them, Alan!

Hatched
This egg looks like it has hatched -- and since it's a leaf-footed bug egg, I think it's safe to assume the nymph came out of it.

This is great
...I can't wait to see what emerges.
