This looks like a march fly...
Compare with this one which I photographed in...March.
If the same species you may have noticed an unusual profile when they are in flight. The bodies sort of hang downward making them appear like tiny angels, of all things!

there. It might be Bibio genus. Maybe somebody can get you a more definite ID.
