Maybe something in Xylophagidae?

EDIT: I believe I have placed this fly correctly based on the other Bugguide image and description.
Please correct me if wrong.

Antennae look different than Xylophagidae.
I'm thinking soldier fly here. (The first one I shot also played dead. A possum fly? LOL!)
