Strymon bazochii (Godart, [1824])
Identification
Tailless, gray eyes, top of HW forms a sharp angle, brown with some dark brown and white markings.
Range
AZ (1x), c. TX to Argentina / Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola - Map (MPG, BOA)
Also, introduced in Hawaii in an attempt to control lantana
Habitat
Anywhere there's lantana.
Season
February to December, 3 broods.
Food
Larva feeds on lantana and frogfruit.
