Moth - Hyalophora cecropia

Moth - Hyalophora cecropia
Chapel Hill, Orange County, North Carolina, USA
June 5, 2009
Size: about 6 inches wing span
Living by our front door for 3rd day in a row , has not moved from it's hold onto the brick for over 24 hours, has pauses with slow flutter of wings. Beautiful colourings initially but lower wings look dusty and slightly dried out today. Have not touched it except to pull off small spider off it wing tip with tweezers. It is located right under our front lights. It main body is reddish brown hairy with white edges which you can see in the 2nd image i'll send. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
