Dolomedes tenebrosus

2nd XL Dolomedes I've found on limestone "cliffs" at top of hillside, riparian habitat, but a significant distance from the water. Very large spider.

tenebrosus group?
Looks a lot like some of these. I don't know much about Dolomedes in general, though.

I think you've nailed the ID. This picture of another spider, also in a rocky environment, has the same pattern on abdomen. I'll leave in ID request for a few more days in case more comments, then will move to species page.
