Possibly Euspilotus liticolus or near
Fall's liticolus (type locality: Redondo, CA) is currently a synonym of Euspilotus arrogans (Marseul); however, many such synonymies were made without reference to the male genital characters, which are diagnostic in most Euspilotus groups, often differing widely between externally similar species, and sometimes rather similar between externally different species. Unfortunately, about half of the Euspilotus are not currently identifiable with certainty until types are reviewed, dissections are made, and a good faunistic key is produced. This group is undercollected--please collect specimens!!! (Obviously that is a note to others, not expert histerid catcher & photographer Jeff!!)
