Small Acmaeodera - Acmaeoderopsis paravaripilis

Small Acmaeodera - Acmaeoderopsis paravaripilis
Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
June 6, 2009
Size: 6 mm

Moved
Moved from Acmaeoderopsis.

It looks like another species
It looks like another species of Acmaeoderopsis. The easiest way to separate Acmaeoderopsis from relates genera is to turn the specimen over and look at the last three segments of the abdomen. The pubesence is made up of longer, modified hairs that are quite different from those on the rest of the abdomen. You can really see this in the picture you posted of the other species.

I'll get the specimen
and check
