Enaphalodes rufulus, Red Oak Borer - Enaphalodes rufulus - female

Enaphalodes rufulus, Red Oak Borer - Enaphalodes rufulus - Female
Windham, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
August 11, 2005
Size: 26 - 27 mm
Found clinging to a coworker's sock while outdoors. (He was grateful to have it removed.) Stridulated when held. Showed no interest in sweet fluids. Tried to bite, but unable to pierce more than outer cornified layer of skin on my fingers. Close match to Enaphalodes rufulus in plate 13 of Yanega. Apparently female, as images of males reveal much longer antennae. See mating pair here.

Your ID looks right to me.

Thank you Chad.
It's a nice big longhorn.
