Mayfly - Epeorus pleuralis

Mayfly - Epeorus pleuralis
Dixville, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
June 2, 2009
Size: 8.7mm

Moved
Lots of larvae pictures, but no adults yet. I hope I can get at least one picture of the adult.

Epeorus pleuralis
adults have been emerging the past week, and this one is a blackwing (ready to emerge as a subimago).

Wow
I assume you've been collecting on some cold 1st or 2nd order streams. I haven't seen pleuralis for more than three weeks down here, but vitreus has been emerging on the 3rd-5th order streams.
