Anthidiellum ehrhorni? - Anthidiellum ehrhorni - female

Anthidiellum ehrhorni? - Anthidiellum ehrhorni - Female
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, California, USA
February 29, 2004
Size: BL ~ 6-6.5 mm
This little bee was sleeping on the tip of a Sweetbush stem. It is extremely punctate, and curled up so BL is difficult to judge. DiscoverLife has photos of the faces of A. ehrhorni and A. notatum females and they are very similar to this bee. Our face (to be posted next) has the tip of the stem right in front of the clypeus. But the best I can make out is that the curve does more nearly match A. ehrhorn. Hence my guess. Thanks in advance for any help in this ID.

Anthidiellum ehrhorni
One of my favorite bees, so shiny and punctate and a handsome bright yellow and black. I'm very happy to have it identified to species! Thanks so much, Dr. Ascher!

yes, A. ehrhorni
