5011807 Braconid? - Gelis - Female
Willow Springs, Cook County, Illinois, USA
July 26, 2005
Size: ~1/4"
I first thought there was something unusual about this "ant", which it isn't. It may be a Braconid.

Moved
Moved from Ichneumon Wasps.

Ichneumonid!
There are wingless female Ichneumonids in the subfamily Phygadeuontinae, and they belong in the genus Gelis!
This is one of them.
Greetings,
Gerard Pennards
