Neotibicen davisi
Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Size: roughly 2 inches
since they only surface every 17 years I was so pleased to actually witness this little fellow emerging within arms reach last summer.

Tibicen sp. (likely T. davisi)
Nice series of images!
I have collected many nymphs of T. davisi, and although teneral adults are highly variable in color....they all have rather "disprportionately large heads" .. as compared to other Tibicen species. For this reason, I lean towards T. davisi as the likely candidate.
