Rusty Holomelina - Hodges #8123 - Virbia
Medina County, Texas, USA
March 9, 2009
attracted to mv/black light during moth survey.

Moved
Moved from Rusty Virbia.

Jen Zaspel (author of the Virbia genus revision) stated that the V. ferruginosa specimens from TX on BugGuide are most likely in fact V. rubridundaria. These are difficult to ID without seeing the hindwings, and you are south of the known range of V. ferruginosa based on the 2008 genus revision. I'm placing these on the genus page for now.
