My other photo from the preceding November is the usual look people get at this species, high overhead nectaring in a Mexican Olive tree in the late afternoon. This one, waist-high on the outside wall of the restrooms, letting me take point-blank frame-filling photos, was decidedly atypical, in a GOOD way!
