BG2251 E4454 - Chlaenius tricolor - Male
Barney Farm, Hwy 103, 1.0 mi NW Washington, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, USA
May 23, 2009
Size: body length 13.0 mm.
We believe this is in the genus Chlaenius. Antennomeres 3 & 4 are approximately equal in length (4 is actually 5% longer than 3). This would fit C. tricolor.
Proper placement would be appreciated.
Gayle

I agree Chlaenius tricolor
is best fit based on essentially equal antennomeres 3/4 + relatively shiny pronotum + labrum not emarginated + location.
