Brown Stinkbug on Ash - Holcostethus abbreviatus

Brown Stinkbug on Ash - Holcostethus abbreviatus
French Creek, Bradshaw Mts., Yavapai County, Arizona, USA
May 1, 2009
Size: 8 mm
I think this is a dendrocoris - found on Velvet Ash Fraxinus velutina with developing seeds.

ID confirmed by D.B. Thomas: probably Holcostethus abbreviatus
Moved from Pentatominae.

Holcostethus, actually (prob. abbreviatus)

agree
Thank you, kindly. Looking at the three other images of Holcostethus assures me you're correct. Obviously the base color can vary a lot.
