Wire-haired subcortical weevil - Himatium errans

Wire-haired subcortical weevil - Himatium errans
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
April 30, 2008
Size: about 3 mm
This little subcortical weevil stood out as one I hadn't encountered before. It was under the bark of a standing pine that was at least two years dead. Belov says it's the only one we have on bugguide so far.
