Identification
Distinguished from other Euxesta by the combination of
No black spot between bases of antennae
Lower part of frons red
Wing with two small black spots
  Apical spot reaching wingtip and crossing R4+5
  Basal spot (or crossband) starting at wing margin before tip of Sc ending at R2+3.
Scutellum black
Abdomen of male dark, of female with conspicuous yellow tip
Femora black
Range
Lower 48 states, Mexico, tropics. Introduced to Europe and now widespread there.
Remarks
Apparently cell sc may be slightly darkened, giving the basal band an "L" shape, possibly only in males.
