Is this a Smerinthus cerisyi or other related Sphinx type moth? It had bright colors, flashed hindwing "eyes" while fluttering. About 11PM attracted to house flood lamp at about 5,000 ft. elevation.

It looks like Paonias myops to me

Paonias myops
I would agree. I occasionally get this moth in the light trap at about 6,000 ft in the Wasatch Mountains in Utah.

Thank you
