Please help, possible beetle? - Lygus lineolaris
Suwanee, Gwinnett County, Georgia, USA

Size: 2-3 cm
Thanks in advance. I've looked and looked and haven't found anything close to this. It looks somewhat beetle-ish.

Plant Bug
It's a Plant Bug (Miridae(1)). Our plant bug experts should be able to give a more refined ID.

They are common but overlooked because they are small and spend most of their time on plants.

Thanks!
I was REALLY stumped. Thanks to you, I did a google search and quickly found out it is a "tarnished plant bug".

I appreciate it very much!!!

Agree...
^^

Bug or beetle?
FYI, a typical bug's wings form an X on its back, like your specimen here. A beetle typically has a straight line down its back.
