Explanation of Names
ORUZA is probably derived from "όρυζα" or "ρύζι", which is a Greek word for "rice". (Based on Internet searches.)
Numbers
Nearctica.com and other Internet sources lists two species for North America:
albocostaliata - widespread in eastern USA (maybe absent from Canada)
albocostata - Arizona, Mexico, Costa Rica
Identification
The two North American species appear to be nearly identical (visually) and are separated here in the guide by the range limitations or DNA analysis.
Antennae of male ciliated and with bristles at the joints. (1) This may not be visible in most images. Check the antennae of your specimens with a microscope to determine the gender.
Larva with two pairs of abdominal prolegs. (1)
Remarks
This genus is placed in subfamily Acontiinae in many references. Alternatively, it was placed in subfamily Aventiinae in other references, which is now considered to be (demoted to) tribe Aventiini here in the guide. (2)

"The New World species associated with Oruza are in need of generic revision and no generic synonyms are available, so we place the genus in quotation marks for the two species that occur in North America." (3)
