5055 - Pyrausta homonymalis

5055 - Pyrausta homonymalis
Pickens County, Georgia, USA
May 5, 2009
Size: forewing length 8 mm.
Found in clearing of extensively forested area. There were quite a few of these small moths in the clearings and woodland edges
flying low to the ground during the day.

Best match I could find, after scanning images here at BG and at MPG, is Variable Reddish Pyrausta Moth – Pyrausta rubricalis.
Obviously, this is just a guess and I could be way off.

Any comments on this ID would be appreciated.
