Brown beetle with white markings - Anatis labiculata

Brown beetle with white markings - Anatis labiculata
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
June 19, 2009
Size: 0.4 inches
Found on shasta daisy leaves in mid-June after a day or two of of rain. The shape is that of a large fat ladybug. It is just under a half inch long. I have not been able to find anything with similar white markings on the head (or thorax?)in the guide. I am wondering if it is benign (from a gardener's point of view). Any hints or information would be appreciated.

Anatis labiculata
Thank you both for the prompt ID. I have returned it to the wilds of suburbia.

Anatis labiculata, i suppose

The head pattern is fairly distinctive, and A. labiculata darkens as it ages so despite its common name, "fifteen-spotted lady beetle," it may appear to have no spots at all.

Like all lady beetles in spring/summer, this is a beneficial insect that preys on aphids.

(Even multicolored Asian lady beetles are beneficial in summer, it's only in the fall/winter that they start eating fruit and invading houses.)
