Antlion larva, Doodlebug, Myrmeleon genus

Any way to get ID down further visually, or geographically?

I call them ant lions
ive found them in nevada, California, and Oregon. Never seen them on a leaf before. Thay normaly make small pits in the ground so ants can fall in them.
