Fly - Scellus

Fly - Scellus
Antelope Island, Davis County, Utah, USA
June 19, 2009
Size: 1/2 inch
Looks like a mini robber fly. He's got a stubby abdomen. Maybe a dance fly or a long-legged fly?

Moved
Moved from Hydrophorinae.

Moved
Moved from Longlegged Flies.

Antennae
Antennae are like Rhaphium but the rest of it looks different.

Just something
a little similar (copper back, legs, and wings, but maybe not the head)

Also, the wings match this one

Moved
Moved from Flies. Probably an interesting genus but I don't know which.

Thanks.
Thanks, Keith.
