Named in honor of entomologist William E. Miller (1930–2013). (1)

♂ 5.5-7.2 mm.
♀ 6.5-9.6 mm.
Range
Southern Manitoba to southern Quebec, south through New England to Maryland, west to western Arkansas. (1)
Food
A single larva from Quebec was found on and reared from the roots of Helianthus tuberosus (Jerusalem artichoke). (1)
Remarks
Females much more likely to be attracted to UV light. (1)
