Small wasp - Pison

Small wasp - Pison
Bentsen-Rio Grande State Park, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
June 7, 2009
Size: chamber 1/2 " + or -
This is a cropped zoomed view. I was concentrating on Oecanthinae, therefore, I didn't take many photos of other bugs unless they were especially cooperative. This wasp was only 'cooperative' while busy with the chamber, so I don't have a full body view.

Good find!

Thanks, Matthias
I read in the other post of this species that it is introduced -- and previously only found in the east and midwest. Since BugGuide has photos from California and now Texas -- I guess it is spreading quickly.
