Bentsen Rhiginia? - Rhiginia cinctiventris

Bentsen Rhiginia? - Rhiginia cinctiventris
World Birding Center at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
July 19, 2007
I think I have the right genus here, but does not match the one species pictured on the Guide. The other species mentioned on the Info page, R. cinctiventris, does not seem to be pictured on-line anywhere; could that be what I have here?

Had some time with Rhiginia...
and these certainly fall under R. cinctiventris.

Moved from Rhiginia.

Yes, genus is right...
and this is more akin to the cinctiventris I've seen (compared to the recent AZ specimen). However, as I mentioned on the other image, Rhiginia is...well not a mess necessarily, just a bit lost. These images are certainly a new species for the guide but they should stay under the genus heading for the time being.

If you say so...
I'm tempted to move this one to cinctiventris just as a place-holder until one comes along that is more certain, but if you prefer leaving it at the genus level for now, I can live with that. Thanks for the feedback!
