Green stink bug - Piezodorus? - Thyanta pallidovirens

Green stink bug - Piezodorus? - Thyanta pallidovirens
Santa Cruz County, California, USA
June 26, 2009
Size: 3/4"
Insect was discovered around midday on a (ripe) blueberry while I was picking the fruit in my yard. It did not appear to be eating at the time. It did not fly, so I moved it to another plant.

Thyanta pallidovirens
Moved from ID Request.

Although I'm not 100% sure that there aren't other possible species within this genus, other strikingly similar-looking submissions from California have been placed as this species.

ID confirmed by D. B. Thomas: T. pallidovirens (Stål)
