Identification
Most spp. are morphologically similar and hard to identify; species boundaries remain indistinct. Habitus similar to other genera of this tribe, incl. Purpuricenus, Metaleptus, etc.(2)
Range
southern 2/3s of the US to Honduras - Map (2)(GBIF)
Remarks
Adults of one or both sexes are usually bright orange in color and mimic pompilid wasps in the genera Pepsis and Hemipepsis (2)
