Gulf Fritillary - Agraulis incarnata

Gulf Fritillary - Agraulis incarnata
south Fulton County, Georgia, USA
June 25, 2009
Here on my fingertip are the eggs I was able to remove. I had first placed the butterfly in the fridge to render her less active (and hopefully the humidity within would help loosen the eggs). I held the butterfly down by the wings and with a small tool was able to pull the eggs free.

When you submit multiple images, you must remember to fill in the fields accordingly. This is not an adult female but an immature. I did it for you this time. It is easy to forget. We all have done it one time or another.
