Moth 06.27.2009 038 - Pleuroprucha insulsaria
Moccasin Lake, Winston, Douglas County, Georgia, USA
June 27, 2009
Size: 22mm measured span
Need help with ID for this moth. It has a 22mm wingspan and appeared green with a red fringe border when viewed against a tan background (patio umbrella). When it is viewed against a white background (back-lit with UV), it appears more of a white coloration with gray fringe. The photo here is against the tan patio umbrella in order to show the greenish tinge as well as the red broder.

Yes, camera setting, angle, and light source produce a range of colorations, plus the moths themselves vary greatly from almost white to almost black, but mostly in the brown tones. (no rsvp, thanks)
