Pholcidae? - Holocnemus pluchei

Size: < phalangioides
Perhaps a Daddy Longlegs Spider? There were quite a few of these around in small webs. They were smaller and much more heavily patterned than phalangioides, which were also present. Could, I suppose, be a different sex or variant of phalangioides.

The shape and pattern of this
The shape and pattern of this spider are very distinct. It is Holocnemus pluchei, the Marbled Cellar Spider. It is an introduced species and is very common throughout California and other parts of the southwestern United States.
