Moved
Moved from Mordellistena trifasciata.

1st dark band on elytra not tricuspidate,
but with rather straight posteriour edge.

Cropping?
Can you possibly crop it a little? I know that you can't do much more; but if it is the only male it would be nice if it showed better, even in thumbnails.

Mordellistena sp.
but which one? looks new to BugGuide. Nice!

Mordellistena trifasciata
after a bit of review, this one can only be Mordellistena trifasciata (which you've previously found and posted). It's a male (lighter pronotum, legs, and abs), whereas all the others currently posted are females. Still, even the elytra has a bit more lighter coloration than expected.
