Moth - Drasteria divergens

Moth - Drasteria divergens
Silver lake, El dorado County, California, USA
June 27, 2009
Size: 1"
This Moth was found on the underside of the Sunflower like Mule Ears plant . It seemed to fly low and would fly onward when disturbed . It flew low and landed on a rock on the trail where it was easier to take a picture of . I was amazed at how pretty the pattern is on it's wings , not only camoflague but art ! Thanks for any comments , Beth
