Dragonfly underside

Dragonfly underside
Essex, Ontario, Canada
My sister found a dead dragon fly in her house and thought I would want it for photos. I gladly excepted, but while taking shots I noticed red dots on it's underside. I took some photos and this is what came out. I have no clue what they are, but they are extremely tiny. I was just wondering what they were, if they are a bother and if I should chuck it and find a better specimen without these things on it and if they are a problem and are in her house... then obviously I should let her know right?

I know it's a dumb question, but better to ask then not know.

These are mites...
Not sure which species but I have found many damselflies carring these.

Interesting to know it's some
Interesting to know it's somewhat common. If possible. Should I try for a closer shot?
