Identification
Larva light green inchworm, with a thin reddish dorsal line, and reddish cleft head.
Adult, deep yellowish to grayish green when fresh, turning various yellows greens, orange, or brown. AM and PM lines dotted, white, and inconspicuous. HW squarred off but not sharply pointed.
Range
Southern Canada to Florida and Texas.
Food
Larva eat basswood, birch, blueberry, ironwood, ninebark, willow, oak, and other woody plants.
