Small Reduviid? - Hoplistoscelis heidemanni

Small Reduviid? - Hoplistoscelis heidemanni
Cuyamaca Woods, Julian, San Diego County, California, USA
June 27, 2009
Size: 8mm

Thomas J. Henry: "looks like Hoplistoscelis heidemanni (Reuter),
"...known from CA and UT. We also have material from AZ, ID, and OR in the USNM collection."

Moved from Damsel Bugs.

Damsel bug.
This is a nabid, but probably something not in the guide already. The swollen front femora are a tell-tale characteristic of the family.
