Gyascutus planicosta - male - female

Gyascutus planicosta - Male Female
Borrego Springs, along Henderson Canyon Road, San Diego County, California, USA
June 27, 2009
These guys weren't rare at the spot tht Robyn knew, there was one on most of the larger Creosote bushes, but they took off like rockets into the cruelly blue sky before we even spotted them. Living in Tucson, I'm just not adapted to the temps of Anza Borrego!

Great shot, Margarethe!

Chilled and posed
there was no other way.

Ohh...
Got it. They are very convincing!
