Teeny Tiny Nymph - Valenzuela flavidus

Teeny Tiny Nymph - Valenzuela flavidus
Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
July 1, 2009
Size: ~ 1 mm or less
I just spent some time chasing this tiny white speck all over my front door, trying to get a good shot. Of course it wouldn't sit still for me, but somehow I managed. Is this a Psyllid nymph? I've never seen a bug like this before.

Probably V. flavidus nymph -- Ed Mockford det.

Sweating the small stuff...
Wonderful posts of the little critters, Ashley. Nice finds. And right at your doorstep, too!

Thanks Ron!
I find it a bit addicting - looking to see what new (to me) stuff I can discover with my macro lens right at my door. I'm constantly amazed that new and different things keep showing up there. =)
