Arizona Cicada - Diceroprocta knighti
Ironwood National Monument, Pima County, Arizona, USA
July 2, 2009
Size: abdomen about 20 mm long
A relatively distinctive Diceroprocta. Song a repeated "dzt-dzt-dzt..." repeated a little faster than 4 per second, lower pitched than D. apache.

These actually look more like the one photo of that sp. and sound like the recording at Kathy Hill and David Marshall's website.
