Coreid Nymph? - Acanthocephala terminalis

Coreid Nymph? - Acanthocephala terminalis
Great Falls Park, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
July 2, 2009
I spotted two of these on a plant while wandering the rocks at Great Falls. One dodged behind a leaf while this one stayed perfectly still, no doubt thinking he was hidden under the leaf above him, but I saw him there in the shadow. Anyone know what he'll become?

Moved
Moved from not yet identified nymphs.

For the rationale behind this move, see this forum thread.

i don't know what's wrong with me---
...but i never cared one bit about immature bugs, although i admit they often look much fancier than the adults. Pedophobic? quite probable. Although i strongly prefer cats to adult Lepidoptera -- go figure...

Moved from True Bugs.

I find them to be
pretty cute, for some reason. The cutest leafhopper nymph landed on a friend on Saturday and it became the topic of conversation for a bit as everyone had to look at it.

Cats are furry and they purr. Make sense. ;-)

oh... now you go all freudian on me
--a barely legal alien struggling with the lingua franca...
