i found one of these but i di
i found one of these but i didnt get a good shot of it. (but i did get its pupa which looks like a tiny coccon..take a peek on the page at how cute it is.) This is an Acrocerid Fly

I knew it was small-headed fly-not sure if it's the same species I had found before though.

 
A male Ogcodes dispar (Macquart)
A male Ogcodes dispar (Macquart, 1855). It is the only North American species that I'm aware of that is all yellow-orange. The pale color is also indicative of the male. It has been recorded from both the western and eastern USA.
