Tiny Abdomen - Evaniella semaeoda

Tiny Abdomen - Evaniella semaeoda
Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
July 3, 2009
Size: 5 mm
This oddly-shaped tiny wasp was hanging out on my glass door tonight. I don't usually see wasps with wings that come together to a point. The abdomen seems strange as well - a different texture, and looking like it was affixed afterward.

Oh yes,
That's it! Nice - thanks. If I'm lucky, it's the cockroach egg parasite version - I've seen more wood roaches out there this summer than last. They could certainly use a predator...
